How long have you been in business? Since Spring 2019
What made you decide to become a female entrepreneur? I was always looking for a career I could’ve passionate about. I made the tough decision to be a stay at home mom. Between snacks and diaper changes, I was able to focus in on my true passions. One being the environment. I tried out TONS of zero waste tricks and tips: some stuck, some didn’t. It was through sharing these experiences that I found a career I was passionate about.
What has been the most challenging aspect of starting your own business? Juggling life: 3 young kids, learning how in the world to run a business and just plain ole hard work. Through all that, I forgot to make myself a priority. Taking care of yourself is the foundation for everything else in your life.
What has been the best advice you’ve received from other female entrepreneurs? “Sometimes done is better than perfect.”
Who’s a #femalefoodie you admire? The barefoot contessa! Love love love her.
Guilty Food Pleasure: Fried cheese curds.
Your favorite way to use your beeswax wraps? I wrapped up leftover produce in the small. For example, I’ll leave the pit in half an avocado and wrap it up. It’ll stay green 3-5 days in the fridge before browning!
What would you tell other female entrepreneurs looking to start their own business?Just do it and when you hit a roadblock, find a way around it. No one has all the answers and we are all capable of finding some #google. Oh, and ask tons of questions. Better to risk being annoying than to risk losing your dream.
