Love a Bloody Mary? Looking to spice it up? (See what I did there?) Well, I’ve got you covered!
Let’s be honest, Bloody Marys are synonymous with brunch and hangovers. There are hundreds of variations of this drink, but what makes our Mary so special is she’s made with three ingredients from female-owned small businesses.
Featured Female Businesses Include:
Bar-B-Que Beast Carolina Barbecue sauce
Let’s get drinking!
What You Need: (servings: 1)
2 oz. your favorite vodka
4 oz. your favorite tomato juice
1 tsp. Pickle juice from Cin Chili Habanero Pickles
1 tsp. Bar-B-Que Beast Carolina Barbecue sauce (Side note: my hubs and I first encountered BBQ sauce in Bloody Marys over 10 years ago while honeymooning in Hawaii.)
Juice from half a lime
Garnishes Needed: It’s not a Bloody Mary without garnishes. Don’t skimp!
3 stalks of green onion
2 pickles (Cin Chili Habanero Pickles)
2 slices or chunks of sharp cheddar cheese
2 slices salami
Lime Rimming Salt from Blue Henry
What You’re Going to Do:
1. Pour a couple tablespoons of the Blue Henry Lime Rimming Salt on a plate. Using your lime wedge, coat the rim of your glass with lime juice and roll the top of the glass in the salt.
2. Fill your glass with ice and pour in the vodka, tomato juice, pickle juice, barbeque sauce and juice from your lime. Give it a good stir.
3. Stand your green onion stalks in the glass and on a toothpick, alternately skewer the pickles, cheese and salami. Lay across the top of the glass.
4. Cheers and enjoy!
